I’m Elizabeth Fortunato, a technology leader, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner with more than 30 years of experience in IT strategy, program management, and customer experience. I’m passionate about helping organizations bridge the gap between complex technology landscapes and the people they serve.

As the CEO of ProjaTec, I guide small businesses and nonprofits in leveraging technology to achieve their missions. Recently, I earned certification as an AI Consultant, expanding my work to include AI strategy, technical assistance, and toolkits. My focus is on helping organizations safely, ethically, and effectively adopt AI while implementing AI-enabled systems that reduce administrative costs, improve service delivery, and expand service offerings.

Previously, I served in senior leadership roles with the U.S. Federal Courts, where I led enterprise-wide IT modernization, customer support for millions of users, and the creation of governance strategies that aligned multi-million-dollar technology portfolios with mission priorities. Across every role, I bring a commitment to collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

Beyond my professional work, I’m proud to support my community as a board member and volunteer with the Maritime Republic of Eastport (MRE), and as a crew member for the Wilma Lee for the Maritime Museum. In addition, I hold my 50-ton USCG captain license.

My guiding belief: technology should empower people. Whether through IT governance, AI solutions, or community service, I strive to deliver results that are not only strategic but also human-centered.
